Discover Fort Smith, Arkansas!

Fort Smith is where the New South meets the Old West. It’s a place rich in history, where large groups will also discover a world-class urban contemporary art scene, a remarkably scenic landscape that is easy to explore, and innumerable family and budget-friendly attractions. Plus, the city offers exceptional variety in regards to shopping, dining, live entertainment and more. Even better, traveling to Fort Smith is a breeze! Fort Smith’s central U.S. geography is the reason it was first established as a strategic military fort in 1817. It’s also why, decades later, the city can be reached by multiple major U.S. highway/interstate systems stretching from one coast to the next. This makes driving to Fort Smith from large metros like Dallas (4 hours), Tulsa (less than 2 hours) Memphis (4 hours), and St. Louis (6 hours) quick and simple. For those who prefer to travel by sky, the Fort Smith Regional Airport offers daily jet service from Dallas/Fort Worth and Atlanta. And when it comes to event space, we've got an array of indoor and outdoor venues to accommodate any type of event! The Fort Smith Convention Center is the city's premier meeting and event venue, offering 116,800 sq. ft. of usable and infinitely-customizable event space. Nearby, the 53,000 sq. ft. Temple Live—a historic Masonic Temple—boasts 3 large banquet halls, a beautiful performance theatre and several meeting rooms. Kay Rodgers Park is home to The Expo Center (24,000 sq. ft.), Harper Stadium (36,960 sq. ft.), and Hardin Arena (27,300 sq. ft.). And other sites like Riverfront Park, Fort Smith City Center and Ben Geren Park are popular venues for large festivals, sports tournaments, business meetings and other types of events.

Husk
Husk
Nashville
Located in Rutledge Hill – just a few blocks south of Historic Broadway, in the heart of Downtown Nashville – Husk, from The Neighborhood Dining Group, is reinterpreting the bounty of the surrounding area, exploring an ingredient-driven cuisine that begins in the rediscovery of heirloom products and redefines what it means to cook and eat in Nashville. At Husk, there are some rules about what can go on the plate. If it doesn’t come from the South, it’s not coming through the door. The resulting cuisine is not about rediscovering Southern cooking, but rather exploring the reality of Southern food. Seed-saving, heirloom husbandry, in-house pickling and charcuterie programs by Executive Chef Ben Norton and his culinary team are the basis of Husk’s cuisine. Husk Nashville, located at 37 Rutledge Street, was constructed into the side of a hill between 1879 and 1882 by Dr. John Bunyan Stephens. Its storied history includes serving as Mayor Richard Houston Dudley’s home, where he lived when elected in 1897. The area was settled by the Rutledge and Middleton families of Charleston who were descendants of two of the original South Carolina signers of the Declaration of Independence. Mayor Dudley added the Carriage House located on property in 1890–which will serve as a space to satisfy the restaurant’s culinary whims and host private/special events. The design of the Husk’s interior spaces enhances the building’s roots while demonstrating a sense of Southern style, modernity, energy, and cosmopolitan flair.
