Le Palais Murabba (Qasr al Murabba (la place en arabe)) est l'un des bâtiments historiques de Riyad, en Arabie Saoudite. Le palais a été nommé d'après sa place de 400 mètres sur 400 mètres (1 300 pieds sur 1 300 pieds). C'est l'un des musées de la ville. Le palais a été construit par le roi Abdulaziz à l'extérieur de Riyad. Il s'agit de la première expansion majeure de la ville au XXe siècle. La construction a commencé en 1936, partiellement finalisée en 1938] et entièrement achevée en 1945. Le palais devait être une résidence familiale et une cour pour le roi. Avec la construction du palais, trois nouvelles technologies ont été introduites dans la société saoudienne : l'utilisation des automobiles comme moyen de transport, l'électricité au moyen de générateurs et les armoires d'eau avec des systèmes de drainage. Le roi quitta son ancienne cour du fort Masmak à la fin de la construction et utilisa le palais comme résidence et cour de 1938 jusqu'à sa mort en 1953. Cependant, un autre palais, Addeera, servit aussi de résidence royale. Au cours de cette période, le palais Murabba a été témoin de nombreuses visites officielles et de la signature de diverses ententes. Un ascenseur a été installé dans le palais Murabba à la fin des années 1940, lorsque le roi a de la difficulté à monter les escaliers en raison de l'arthrite avancée. Il s'agit du premier ascenseur en Arabie Saoudite. Le roi nomma l'un de ses fils, le prince Mansour, émir du palais. Le palais Murabba est situé à deux kilomètres au nord de la vieille ville de Riyad et sa superficie totale était de plus de 16 hectares. Il est situé à environ un demi-mille du fort Masmak. La zone où le palais a été construit s'appelait Murabba Al Sufyan. Au sud du palais, il y a des jardins et la vallée de Batha est située à l'est. Wadi Abu Rafie se trouve à l'ouest et de petites collines se trouvent au nord du palais.
