This historic hotel, a grade 2 listed building, was built in the 16th century as an important coaching inn, and was also home to a local brewery for a time. The courtyard still has its medieval brew house. With 26 rooms, all en suite, two function rooms, two bars and a bistro, the Lansdowne is a wonderful place to eat, drink and be merry, with enticing open fires in the winter just calling for visitors to linger in the bar over a meal and a pint of real ale.
