Hotel Moderno is located in Erice, with its silvergray stoned paved streets, its small court yards blooming with flowers & its roof tops covered with opaque "terra cotta" tiles. Its modern conveniences and efficient service traces its origin back to the 19th century. Of the 19th century, it preserves distinction, elegance and hospitality worth of the old lodging traditions. The hotel has 40 rooms, for a total of 82 beds. It has simple furnishings but is decorated giving special care to the details and combining its modern comforts with the traditional atmosphere of the surroundings. On the roof terrace, clients can enjoy having breakfast or a cocktail, or simply relax and look at the view or at the sunset.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
