The famous Cayman Wall runs around the entire island, with dive sites on all four sides. While there is plenty for novice divers to see on the sandy flats on top of the wall, those who descend deeper will be privy to some truly breathtaking scenery. Among the mélange of black coral, giant purple sea fans and barrel sponges, you are bound to spot parrot fish, barracuda, eagle rays, turtles and even the odd Hammerhead.

The next stop will take you to one of Seven Mile Beach’s many spectacular coral reefs where you will encounter an amazing array of tropical fish and lush coral. Today, rum is still in abundance at Rum Point and is paired with delicious food at the Wreck Bar. The colorful and friendly atmosphere of Rum Point will bring delight to your vacation. Located at the northern tip of the Island in the sleepy district of North Side, 55 minutes from the resort, Rum Point has an activity for every member of the family.

Discover the historic and cultural heritage of the Cayman Islands in the Capital of George Town. This tiny Caribbean market town is also the world’s fifth largest financial center. As you walk through town, you might see a 10th generation Caymanian woman selling her thatched baskets against the backdrop of banks that transact billions of dollars each day. You can drop-by the Cayman Craft Market, which features the work or local artists or visit any one of dozens of duty free shops which offer the region’s most competitive prices on jewelry, perfume, leather goods, designer watches, china and crystal, makeup and other fine goods. Pedro St. James National Historic Site

Discover the unique heritage and culture of Cayman via this lovingly restored window into the 18th century that’s only a 20-minute drive from George Town. At a time in the Cayman Islands when most people lived in tiny, thatch-covered houses, a wealthy Englishman, using slave labour from Jamaica, created an astonishing 3-storey building called Pedro St. James. In the 1990s, the Government of the Cayman Islands purchased Pedro St. James and painstakingly restored the Great House to the splendor of its 18th century heritage. Today, visitors can stroll through the imposing edifice with its period furniture and authentic artifacts to experience what life was like so long ago in Cayman’s history.

The Museum building not only houses our national treasures today, but is the oldest public building in the Cayman Islands. Used as a jail, courthouse, dancehall, and postal office, among other functions, the Museum building is an important piece of our history, in and of itself.

The Mastic, a deep forest trail located 50 minutes from the resort, is well worth the drive. The Mastic is one of the few remaining areas of untouched forests in Cayman. Enjoy the majesty of Cayman's flora and fauna as you encounter a multitude of birds such as banana birds, West Indian woodpeckers and the Cayman Islands’ national bird, the Grand Cayman parrot. Visitors also have the opportunity to come in contact with Cuban tree frogs, hermit crabs, lizards and geckos, nine species of bats, six species of butterflies and even a snake or two, but no worries, there are no poisonous snakes in Cayman. See the national tree and flower, the silver thatch palm and the wild banana orchid. With 22 points of interest along the trail and only a CI $5 admission fee, nature and hiking enthusiasts are sure to be pleased.

The 50-foot Atlantis submarine will take you down to a depth of 100 feet in air-conditioned comfort. Day or night, take an extraordinary journey through a kaleidoscope of living color into the magnificent world of coral reefs and spectacular marine life for which the Cayman waters are famous. On a submarine night dive, the submarine’s 10,000-watt lights will illuminate the creatures, corals and nightlife colors of Cayman’s famed coral mountain.
