Caprivi Mutoya Lodge is located 25kms east of Katima Mulilo offering 10 guestrooms with modern amenities for a comfortable stay. Mutoya is the local name for “Waterberry Tree”, owing to the presence of these trees found along the shores of the lagoon. Surrounding the lodge are ancient Jackalberry Trees (African Ebony) as well as numerous other indigenous trees, which are home to squirrels, monkeys, a large variety of birds, and other small species. Due to the quiet waters of the hippo pools, there is also a profusion of water birds, which the Zambezi Region in Namibia is renowned for.

All decorations and personal items are to be removed from the pavilion the day the event ends, in order for us to clean the venue. A breakage fee of N$2000 will be charged beforehand, and will be refunded after the event. Final guest numbers with special dietary requirements are to be sent to the lodge management 14 days prior to the event. All broken items will be charged for. No nails, permanent fixtures, gum/press stick will be allowed to be set up or put up against the walls, windows and door. Caprivi Mutoya Lodge management and staffs takes no responsibility for lost and damaged personal items.

Situated on the largest backwater of the Zambezi River in Namibia, Caprivi Mutoya Lodge offers a nature inspired workshop/conference pavilion set amongst ancient indigenous trees. Mutoya Pavilion is only 20 minutes-drive (25kms) from Katima Mulilo and seats up to 30 people in a spacious venue, which is ideal for small conferences, workshops, training courses, corporate team-building and social events. Although the pavilion has large open-air window openings with roll-down canvas blinds, it is fitted with fans for sweltering hot African summers. For snacks and meals these are catered for at our main lodge bar/restaurant deck area only a minute walk from the pavilion. Some of the rates include an afternoon sunset cruise on a large pontoon boat where guests can get to see crocodiles, hippos and a myriad of birds, making this is a fabulous way to end your event. Small events and functions can be also organised on the pontoon. Accommodation at Caprivi Mutoya Lodge is in Luxury Tents (wood & canvas structures) and air-conditioned Chalets. Other activities can also be arranged.
