Northfield hotel is located on the lower slopes of Northhill in nearly 2 acres of landscaped gardens reputed to have been laid out by Gertrude Jekyll. We have wonderful views from our elevated position from the coast to the Quantocks, Brendon hills and indeed Exmoor itself, walking from the hotel you are on Exmoor in only a few minutes. Minehead provides the perfect base for exploring the area, as well as being a charming town in its own right with a picturesque harbour, beautiful thatched cottages in the shadow of the impressive St Michael’s church. We purchased the Northfield in the summer of 2012 and are gradually updating most areas to regain as much of its character as possible such as the beautiful parquet flooring in the hallway. We are not following the trend for boutique and contemporary! Our aim is to provide a classic coastal hotel where a warm welcome and friendly service are supported by good food and wine with very comfortable accommodation, with the added bonus of an indoor pool.
