Selous Bush Camp is a semi-luxury tented chalet camp situated in the malaria free Mankwe Game Reserve, 5000 hectares in size and close to Pilanesberg & Sun City. Selous is 1 of only 2 concessions on the game reserve guests are assured of a exclusive private wildlife experience. The Mankwe Reserve is home to around 2000 head of wild game including eland, white rhino, giraffe, and large herds of impala, wildebeest and zebra as well as many other interesting and rare species of game (30 different mammal species. Nocturnal animals include aardvark, brown hyena, civet, genet, leopard and honey badger. Over 300 species of birds also occur here. Selous Bush Camp is a classic cotton canvas camp in the old explorer's style with the main lodge area under 270 square meters of khaki Bedouin-style tent. Each tented chalet is a double en-suite nestled into pristine African bushveld and set apart from the other tents ensuring privacy for all guests. Meals can be enjoyed in the main tent or under the stars in our exquisite open air boma.
