Mellington Hall Hotel is one of those hidden gems where every aspect will impress the most discerning visitor from arrival to a reluctant departure. It is situated on the Powys/Shropshire border, between the towns of Bishops Castle and Montgomery, and close to the village of Churchstoke. The hotel boasts 10 luxuriously appointed guest rooms, all individually styled and named after towns and features in the locality. Mellington Hall Hotel is already well known as a top wedding and conference venue, and in addition there are other events held throughout the year, from team building weekends to Abba evenings.

Once upon a time in 2016, Matt Levy, founder of Covert Cocktail Club, hosted a secret speakeasy as an intimate place for strangers to gather in his home. The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”.
