Situated in the centre of Montrose, The George Hotel Montrose is family owned with a warm and friendly lounge bar which has an open gas fire where you can sit and chat amongst friends. Our Hotel has a superb 'a la carte' restaurant, beautiful quiet flood lit gardens to the rear, used for wedding receptions, garden parties and lazy summer evenings where you can enjoy a drink and relax. This is the perfect location for a stay in the Highlands, quiet but within striking distance of Aberdeen, Dundee, and the Grampians. There area plenty of local facilities for walking, angling, golfing, and sight seeing in the area. The George Hotel is ideal for short breaks and organised golf holidays. Hotel Montrose now has twenty-four en-suite bedrooms available with two four-poster rooms for bridal parties, a restaurant, bar lounge, family apartment that sleeps five and a function suite all of which have been modernised. We also have a large garden to the rear of the Hotel which is available for functions and events and we can cater for any size of event.
