Ayuntamiento de Abaran extends as a narrow strip in NE-SW direction, forming part of the region of the high plain of Segura, in Ricote Valley, which is framed in the northeastern quadrant of the Autonomous Community of Murcia. The municipality, with an area of 115.38 km2 (1.02% of the regional total) presents a semi-arid climate with low rainfall unevenly distributed in space and time. Much of the economic activity of the municipality revolves around agriculture. It is an agricultural village with about 2,500 hectares. You cannot miss the great variety of local fruit, present throughout the year depending on the season.
