À propos de nous

1 Hotel Seattle is located in the buzzy South Lake Union neighborhood at the cross-section of Seattle’s emerging biotech and big-tech industries, and is a world-class urban retreat, blending sustainable luxury with the restorative beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Featuring 153 guest rooms including 45 suites—personal sanctuaries where nature and luxury coexist. Large windows flood the spaces with natural light and offer sweeping city views. Drawing inspiration from the region’s majestic landscapes, each space reflects the imperfections of nature, with reclaimed wood finishes, stone-clad millwork, moss-inspired art installations, and live-edge furniture showcasing the craftsmanship of Seattle’s artisans. With over 4,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting space, 1 Hotel Seattle accommodates everything from intimate board meetings to receptions for up to 200 guests. Each space is thoughtfully designed with reclaimed materials, abundant natural light, and views of the iconic Space Needle or the city skyline.

The Space Needle is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world and is a treasured Seattle icon. Built for the 1962 World’s Fair—the Century 21 Exposition whose theme was “The Age of Space”—the tower’s futuristic design was inspired by the idea that the fair needed a structure to symbolize humanity’s Space Age aspirations. Since its grand opening on April 21, 1962, the landmark continues to symbolize the innovative and forward-thinking spirit of Seattle. Located at Seattle Center, the Space Needle stands at 605’ tall and is one of the most photographed structures in the world.

Since Seattle hosted the World’s Fair in 1962, the Seattle Center has remained an integral part of the local community. The iconic Space Needle is an important reminder of the dreams of that time. Owned and managed by the Wright family, children of Howard S. Wright II who constructed it, the Space Needle continues to be an icon for innovation, originality and imagining the future. When the opportunity to reinvigorate Seattle Center arose, the Wright family took interest. They invited Northwest artist, Dale Chihuly, to present a comprehensive collection of his work. Having always loved the Space Needle, Chihuly was delighted with the opportunity to design an Exhibition Hall, a Garden installation and a Glasshouse in his own community. Through its community partners, Chihuly Garden and Glass supports opportunities for education and involvement in the arts.
