The Sugnall Estate is a small but traditional country estate of 1300 acres, with farms, cottages, its hall and a walled kitchen garden. The present family has owned it since the late nineteenth century. A history of the estate is here. The Old Hall was mostly demolished about 1880, leaving just cellars and its kitchen wing. However its Home Farm remains and is where the farmers markets are held. The walled garden was its kitchen garden. The present hall is on a different site. The Business Centre opposite the walled garden provides a quiet working environment in pleasant rural surroundings. It was opened in 1999, and received the Conservation Award for 2000 from Stafford Borough Council, and a CPRE award, for its sensitive conversion.
