Hotel Des Indes, a proud member of the Leading Hotels of the World, is your 5 stars address in the charming city center of The Hague. With over 140 years of tradition in welcoming guests, including royalty and celebrities, the hotel embodies elegance and grandeur. History: Back in 1858 the Baron van Brienen, who was a counsellor to King William III, had a town palace built on the posh Lange Voorhout avenue. He chose this location because he wanted a stately accommodation in downtown The Hague to be able to host parties. A few years after the baron passed away the building was sold, and it opened in 1881 by Prince Frederic of Orange as Hotel Des Indes. Original details of the Palace are still integrated in the design. We have a written diversity and inclusivity policy, and have a zero-tolerance policy against racism or sexism. We cooperate with UWV, however we have not yet hired someone who has poor job prospects. The Hague is a very diverse city, and this also shows in our team. We are certified with a Green Key accreditation, which also focuses on DE&I.
