Ouvert en mai 1996, le centre est divisé en trois grandes sections couvrant une superficie de 40 000 mètres carrés, ce qui en fait un lieu idéal pour toutes sortes d'événements, de foires et d'expositions. Le Centre international des foires et des congrès de Tenerife, situé dans la zone d'expansion de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, est devenu la nouvelle image de l'entrée sud de la capitale. Sa position stratégique allie facilité d'accès et communication autoroutière rapide avec les deux aéroports de Tenerife, le port et n'importe quel point de l'île.
