Le palais Murabba (Qasr al Murabba (la place en arabe)) est l'un des bâtiments historiques de Riyad, en Arabie Saoudite. Le palais a été nommé d'après sa place de 400 mètres sur 400 mètres (1 300 mètres sur 1 300 pieds). C'est l'un des musées de la ville. Le palais a été construit par le roi Abdulaziz à l'extérieur de Riyad, constituant la première expansion majeure de la ville au XXe siècle. La construction a commencé en 1936, [partiellement finalisée en 1938] et entièrement achevée en 1945. Le palais était destiné à être une résidence familiale et une cour pour le roi. Avec la construction du palais, trois nouvelles technologies ont été introduites dans la société saoudienne : l'utilisation de l'automobile comme moyen de transport, l'électricité au moyen de générateurs et des toilettes avec systèmes de drainage. Le roi a quitté son ancienne cour du fort de Masmak lorsque la construction a été terminée et a utilisé le palais comme résidence et cour de 1938 jusqu'à sa mort en 1953. Cependant, un autre palais, Addeera, était également utilisé comme résidence royale. Au cours de cette période, le palais de Murabba a connu de nombreuses visites officielles et a signé divers accords. Un ascenseur a été installé dans le palais Murabba à la fin des années 1940 lorsque le roi a eu du mal à monter les escaliers en raison d'une arthrite avancée. Il s'agissait du premier ascenseur en Arabie Saoudite. Le roi a nommé l'un de ses fils, le prince Mansour, émir du palais. Le palais Murabba est situé à deux kilomètres au nord de la vieille ville de Riyad et sa superficie totale était de plus de 16 hectares. Il est situé à environ 800 mètres du fort de Masmak. La zone où le palais a été construit s'appelait Murabba Al Sufyan. Au sud du palais se trouvent des jardins et la vallée du Batha se trouve à l'est. Wadi Abu Rafie se trouve à l'ouest et de petites collines se trouvent au nord du palais.
