La plus belle librairie du monde se trouve dans la rue Carmelitas, à proximité de la Torre dos Clérigos. Le bâtiment extérieur se distingue, mais c'est à l'intérieur que Lello conquiert ses visiteurs. Le sol en parquet compose les deux étages, reliés par un très long et vaste escalier rouge. Lello possède plus de 120 000 livres qui font de cet espace un véritable régal pour tous les amateurs de livres. Il existe des titres pour tous les goûts et en plusieurs langues. Étant l'une des plus anciennes librairies du Portugal, Lello est établie à Porto depuis 1881. L'entreprise remonte à la fondation Livraria Internacional de Ernesto Chardron en 1869, rue Clérigos.

La cathédrale de Porto, située au sommet de la colline de Pena Ventosa, a une fondation ancienne, bien qu'il n'y ait plus de traces de cette époque. Le style romantique a subi plusieurs changements au fil des siècles, en raison de la croissance démographique, de la décadence avancée ou même des influences esthétiques de chaque époque. De plan en croix latine, la cathédrale possède une façade romantique en granit. L'entrée est marquée par deux piliers et par la sculpture de Nossa Senhora da Assunção, sainte patronne de Porto. La cathédrale appartient au centre historique de Porto, un local classé au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO en 1996.

La tour des Clercs, monument baroque, est devenue l'un des symboles les plus importants de Porto. Il compte six étages, 240 marches et 76 mètres. Conçue par l'architecte italien Nicolau Nasoni, la construction a débuté en 1754 et ne s'est terminée qu'en 1763. À cette époque, la tour était la plus haute jamais construite au Portugal et aussi la plus haute d'Europe, dépassant Notre-Dame et Saint-Sulpice à Paris. À l'approche, le centre-ville de Porto est visible de partout. Nommé monument national en 1910, il était bien plus qu'un clocher : il servait également de phare aux navigateurs, de télégraphe, d'horloge de la ville de Porto et servait même de point stratégique pour les batailles militaires et politiques. Étant la carte de visite de Porto, cette attraction est incontournable, surtout pour ceux qui souhaitent gravir toutes les marches pour profiter de la magnifique vue panoramique sur la ville et le fleuve.
