L'InterContinental Abu Dhabi est un complexe urbain de luxe unique. Une icône du patrimoine et de la culture, inaugurée par Son Altesse le regretté Cheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, père fondateur des Émirats arabes unis, pour accueillir la première Conférence du Conseil de coopération du Golfe pour les États du Golfe. Le circuit de Yas Marina (en arabe :) accueille le Grand Prix d'Abu Dhabi. Le circuit a été conçu par Hermann Tilke, [2] [3] et est situé sur l'île de Yas, à environ 30 minutes de la capitale des Émirats arabes unis, Abu Dhabi. Yas Marina est le deuxième circuit de Formule 1 au Moyen-Orient, le premier se trouvant à Bahreïn. Un essai de deux jours des GP2 Asia Series a eu lieu pour ouvrir officiellement le circuit, qui s'est déroulé une semaine avant le Grand Prix d'Abu Dhabi 2009. Il a également accueilli l'événement d'ouverture de la série australienne V8 Supercars, le Yas V8 400, en février 2010. En dehors du sport automobile, le circuit a été utilisé pour la dernière étape de la course cycliste inaugurale de l'Abu Dhabi Tour en 2015. Le circuit possède une licence FIA Grade 1.
