L'EMBL Heidelberg est situé dans la région métropolitaine du Rhin Neckar, une zone de développement scientifique, économique et culturel du sud-ouest de l'Allemagne. Heidelberg est l'endroit idéal pour les conférences de l'EMBL, car elle jouit d'une réputation exceptionnelle dans le domaine de la science et de la recherche et est très facile d'accès au centre de l'Europe. L'EMBL est idéalement situé dans un environnement pittoresque à flanc de colline surplombant la vallée du Rhin, à 10 minutes en taxi du centre-ville de Heidelberg et de la gare principale. Les transports en commun sont disponibles pendant la journée et, pendant les conférences, l'EMBL assure des transferts en bus fréquents entre l'EMBL, le centre-ville de Heidelberg et les hôtels. Le Centre de formation avancée (ATC) de l'EMBL, le nouveau centre de conférence en double hélice en forme d'ADN situé au cœur de l'Europe, ouvre la voie à une nouvelle ère de conférences scientifiques à l'EMBL. Promouvant la formation et l'enseignement avancés pour les scientifiques du monde entier, l'ATC abrite des installations de formation ultramodernes pour les cours pratiques et des laboratoires informatiques ainsi qu'un auditorium de 450 places. Intégré au campus de l'EMBL Heidelberg, il dispose également d'une nouvelle cantine, répondant aux besoins de restauration des prochaines conférences et formations. Outre l'ATC, l'EMBL continue de gérer ses installations de conférence dans le bâtiment principal, y compris des salles de séminaire de différentes tailles et l'auditorium Operon de 300 places. Cependant, ces installations sont généralement utilisées à des fins internes et ne peuvent être utilisées qu'exceptionnellement pour répondre aux besoins spécifiques des organisateurs d'événements. Dans le bâtiment principal, l'EMBL organise généralement tous ses événements internes. Plusieurs salles de différentes tailles sont disponibles, des petites salles de réunion en petits groupes au grand amphithéâtre Operon, qui peut accueillir jusqu'à 300 personnes et peut être divisé en une salle de séminaire de 100 et une salle de 200 personnes.

A born showman, Kevin DelMastro brings a visual and musical spectacle to lounges, cocktail parties, weddings, romantic dates, and corporate events. Offering jazz, blues, Latin, funk, soul, dance, and instrumentals of pop and rock favorites, Kevin loves entertaining and starting the party with his big sax sound and professional backing tracks. He specializes in giving a unique experience to his clients by catering to their taste and style. If the event is mellow, he blends in with smooth background music. If the event is high-energy, he amps it up with high energy music, often dancing with guests as he plays. Engaging, personable, and dynamic, Kevin has officiated weddings and emceed events, bringing a unique blend of talent and personality. He has helped create the appeal of Full Strength Funk Band, as a founding member, and has played all over San Diego and Orange County with Liquid Blue, Wild Nights, Tom Benzon, Casanova Serenade and even with the Tito Puente band as a guest artist for a Latin jazz special. As a solo artist, Kevin was the featured entertainer at UC San Diego’s commencement ceremony in front of 7000 people, and has played The Aventine La Jolla, Mission Bay Yacht Club, The Thursday Club, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, Bernardo Winery, University Club, Kona Kai Resort, Cafe 21, The Prado in Balboa Park, Tipsy Crow, Mesa College Art Gallery, Del Mar Fair,Liberty Station, and Coronado Landing. Kevin was a standout alto saxophonist in elementary and middle school, then switched to tenor sax as an adult. Inspired by BB King’s killer horn section, Kevin began honing his skills playing the blues. He still loves rock and pop music and enjoys covering crowd favorites on his sax, all while pushing the limits of audience engagement, building epic solos, and creating the ultimate show.
