Our experiences strike a balance between “headline” and “offbeat” Texas so guests can check off their bucket lists and also experience the unexpected wow moments. Each experience is led by big-personality, local-expert hosts. We don’t simply “find Tour Guides”, we seek out culture creators – actors, musicians, comedians, and other talented locals.

In 1878, Thomas Dudley Wooten, one of the founders of the University of Texas, purchased the land on which Hotel Ella now sits. Wooten’s son, Goodall, moved into the home on the property in 1900 with his new wife, Ella, who oversaw its transformation into a Greek revival mansion. The mansion underwent an extensive renovation in 2013, and now offers the perfect balance between modernity and a rich history rooted in the fabric of the neighborhood and the university.

Since many of A La Carte Events & Catering's clients are based outside of Houston, they rely on us to scout out venues, book photographers and entertainment, source specialty rentals, and a myriad of other details. Addison Texas plays host to the original U.S. location of Fogo de Chão. The dining area seats 300 guests and offers semiprivate areas that can accommodate parties up to 130. While awaiting their table, patrons can enjoy conversation and cocktails at our lively bar, enjoy a view to the vast wine cellar and grand white Carrara Market Table. Differentiated menus are offered for all dayparts including lunch, dinner, weekend brunch and group dining, plus full-service catering and contactless takeout and delivery options.

Our third restaurant in the Houston-area is located in the Baybrook Mall, a premier, high-end destination for shopping and dining. The restaurant features an open-air churrasco grill in the heart of the dining room where guests can watch our Gaucho Chefs practice the culinary art of churrasco as they butcher and grill a variety of fire-roasted proteins. The main dining room is anchored by a white Carrara marble Market Table and our signature bas-relief interpretation of Antonio Carigni’s O Lacador statue, the embodiment of the gaucho culture. The Friendswood location also features an expansive patio for al fresco dining, soaring wine cases, a contemporary Bar Fogo area with lounge seating and dry-aged meat lockers for in-house aging.
