Surplombant la mer Méditerranée, l'InterContinental Phoenicia Beirut est situé le long de la célèbre promenade « Corniche », à quelques minutes du quartier des affaires et des banques de la ville et du centre-ville toujours animé et divertissant. L'aéroport international de Beyrouth n'est qu'à quelques kilomètres. Les sites historiques de Beiteddine, Baalbeck et The Cedars valent le détour. L'InterContinental est un monument historique au Liban et au Moyen-Orient. Il a accueilli des célébrités et des hommes politiques, ainsi que le 14e Sommet de la Ligue arabe et le 20e Sommet de la Francophonie. Le musée national de Beyrouth et le musée Nicolas Sursock se trouvent à proximité.
