The Plough at Lupton has been on its spot since 1760ish, longer than some if not as long as others, and the Inn catered for travelers as a rest stop, just before the turnpike at Cow Brow. We now have 5 luxury classic rooms and suites which are aptly named after former landowners of Lupton (Lupeton) dating as far back as "Torsin" in the Domesday survey of 1058 to Sir Richard Musgrave in 1681. We can host your Wedding Reception; catering for 80 - 120 in our Farleton room, and more with the use of a marquee.
