L'Hotel National bénéficie d'un emplacement central mais calme, entouré d'un petit parc sur la Davos Platz. Il se trouve à seulement quelques pas de la Promenade, l'élégante rue commerçante de Davos. De là, les bus locaux gratuits circulent toutes les quelques minutes. Il est facile de rejoindre les domaines skiables ou de randonnée en utilisant les transports en commun. Le centre de conférence est également facilement accessible à pied (10-15 minutes). Le célèbre sentier de montagne Panoramaweg passe à proximité de l'hôtel et le funiculaire Schatzalp menant au Zauberberg de Thomas Mann n'est qu'à quelques minutes à pied.
