The Dean Dublin is situated smack bang in the heart of Dublin’s vibrant Harcourt Street, only a few minutes’ walk from St Stephen’s Green, Grafton Street and Temple Bar making it perfectly located for visiting and exploring many of Dublin’s hot spots and attractions. Note that we are located in the middle of Dublin’s nightclub district, and as such have no quiet rooms just quieter rooms, depending on what’s happening around us on the night.

Dublin Zoo opened its doors on September 1, 1831. Founded as a private society by anatomists and physicists and supported by wealthy subscribers. In 1840, featuring 46 mammals and 72 birds donated by London Zoo, the radical decision was to throw its gates open to the public for a penny on Sundays. This gesture, remarkable for that time, established the affectionate relationship that still exists between Dubliners and the ‘ah-Zoo’ in the Phoenix Park.

Cared for by the Office of Public Works, the park is an important public resource in the area, and provides an oasis of green calm in the middle of a bustling city. Its four centuries of history are eventful and complex, involving such important figures as Arthur Guinness, 1st Baron Ardilaun, and Countess Constance Markievicz. The park itself hosts a large number of important sculptural monuments to Irish history. Many species of birds and plants also call the park their home. Public facilities at St Stephen’s Green Park include a playground and a garden for the visually impaired.

Engaging, personable, and dynamic, Kevin has officiated weddings and emceed events, bringing a unique blend of talent and personality. He has helped create the appeal of Full Strength Funk Band, as a founding member, and has played all over San Diego and Orange County with Liquid Blue, Wild Nights, Tom Benzon, Casanova Serenade and even with the Tito Puente band as a guest artist for a Latin jazz special. As a solo artist, Kevin was the featured entertainer at UC San Diego’s commencement ceremony in front of 7000 people, and has played The Aventine La Jolla, Mission Bay Yacht Club, The Thursday Club, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, Bernardo Winery, University Club, Kona Kai Resort, Cafe 21, The Prado in Balboa Park, Tipsy Crow, Mesa College Art Gallery, Del Mar Fair,Liberty Station, and Coronado Landing. Kevin was a standout alto saxophonist in elementary and middle school, then switched to tenor sax as an adult. Inspired by BB King’s killer horn section, Kevin began honing his skills playing the blues. He still loves rock and pop music and enjoys covering crowd favorites on his sax, all while pushing the limits of audience engagement, building epic solos, and creating the ultimate show.

In terms of energy efficiency, The Dean Group has set ambitious targets to reduce primary energy consumption by 10% annually in the early stages of the plan, while also measuring emissions at each venue and establishing location-specific reduction targets. The group also supports biodiversity through initiatives like rooftop beehives, green roofs, and wildflower gardens. In addition, it invests in local culture by supporting artists and cultural projects, including dedicated art studios and the acquisition of locally produced art. Engagement with both staff and guests is a central part of the program, driven by in-house "Green Teams" that promote and implement sustainable practices throughout the organization
