Colorado Adventure Guides and Colorado Rafting Company have provided incredible backcountry experiences to visitors and locals of Colorado for over 25 years. Year-round we offer guided activities and backcountry educational courses. In summer we raft, hike, mountain bike, rock climb, and ascend peaks. In winter we guide backcountry skiers and snowboarders, ice climb, snowshoe, mountaineer, and teach avalanche safety courses. In 1878, Thomas Dudley Wooten, one of the founders of the University of Texas, purchased the land on which Hotel Ella now sits. Wooten’s son, Goodall, moved into the home on the property in 1900 with his new wife, Ella, who oversaw its transformation into a Greek revival mansion.
