Built in 1884 as the first hotel on Lake Garda, the Grand Hotel Gardone testifies the elegance and style of an era. Amongst the many celebrities that have stayed at the Grand Hotel Gardone are: King George of Saxony, d’Annunzio, Churchill, Nabokov, Maugham and Sabin. The view of the lake is majestic, refined and very picturesque, and becomes even more glorified with the ever changing light, sun and shades during the day and night. The hotel has 167 bedrooms and Junior Suites with balcony, offering every comfort with a splendid view of the lake.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
