Its an ideal place to base yourself for more than one nights stay whilst you explore the Glaciers or Pancake Rock areas. Unwind and relax in Hokitika motels quiet location. Walk to the beach and take in the stunning backdrop of the Southern Alps and Mt Cook as you walk amongst the fascinating driftwood and stones sprinkled along the beach. Hokitika is also an area rich in arts and crafts so make sure you take home an original piece from Hokitika.

A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era.
