Location! Penticton, located in the heart of wine country, in the south central interior of Canada’s western-most province, beautiful British Columbia. We are one of two cities in the world between two lakes; Okanagan Lake and Skaha Lake.
Place! Penticton is home to more than 200 regional wineries, 8 craft breweries, 3 distilleries and over 30 annual festivals all enveloped by 2 pristine lakes, 5 beaches, an extensive trail network and scenic mountain views. The climate is temperate with four distinctive seasons and typically an extensive spring and fall.
Space! We offer more than 100,000 sq. ft. of combined convention, meeting and exhibit space. Including the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre, the largest dedicated, full service convention centre in BC’s Interior and the stunning, luxurious Penticton Lakeside Resort & Conference Centre at the shore of Okanagan Lake.
Off-Site! With many unique indoor and open air venues in a variety of sizes and locations from a dedicated wine village, to craft breweries to a docked heritage paddle wheeler, off-site activity options are endless. A four season destination; guided wine, cannabis and nature tours, golf, cycling/E-Bike tours, downhill and cross-country skiing and even an open air skating rink to rent are just a few of the choices. Penticton is the perfect destination for memorable, impactful events.
Sustainability! Fuel Free…Almost. The natural landscape surrounding our compact, walkable city fosters a cozy community feel with all the amenities of a larger metropolis. Conventions and conference facilities, accommodations, downtown and most off-site venues are all within walking distance.
History! The original people of the Okanagan are known as the syilx speaking people – the “Okanagans”. Their nsyilxcən language and syilx Okanagan culture respectfully honour the natural laws of the tmixw – that which gives us life.
We respectfully acknowledge the Penticton Indian Band and the traditional, ancestral, unceded territory of the Syilx Okanagan People, on whose lands we live, learn, and do our work.

The craft brew trail is a great option for delegates to wander about and enjoy on their own: we have self guided maps to provide to event planners.
Looking for a fun, unique off-site event space? 2 of breweries have large spaces to offer. Brew tasting, delicious catering options and even tours are available.
Okanagan Fest of Ale, one of BC’s premier and long-standing craft beer festivals, Penticton Oktoberfest and the Penticton Beer Run. In fact, craft beer has become so popular here that expedia.ca recognized Penticton as Canada’s Craft Beer Capital! We have some of BC’s oldest craft breweries and the first carbon neutral brewery in BC.

With typically over 2,100 hours of sunshine, and only 15 inches of rain annually, Penticton has a comfortable climate year round and a huge summer culture. Penticton is also one of just two cities in the world that sits between two lakes: Okanagan & Skaha Lake. The options are endless for beaches and water activities. Off-site options include boat rentals, paddle boards and kayaks. For adventurous groups, try paddleboard yoga, kayak and lunch adventure; guided or self guided.

Enjoy one of the biggest and best farmers' markets in BC! Find farm fresh veggies & fruits, eggs, honey, baking, preserves and handmade crafts – all grown or produced in the South Okanagan. Vendors proudly make, bake or grow everything they bring to the market. The market also hosts a selection of local liquor vendors each week. Every Saturday from May to October.

Kettle Valley Railway Trail

Kettle Valley Railway (KVR) Trail is a perfect off-site activity! Walk or cycle individually - bike and E-Bike rentals are easily available or organize a guided E-Bike group tour. Adventure tour companies offer various packages dependent on requirements. Booking groups in advance is recommended. Enjoy spectacular scenery and local wildlife on this abandoned railway bed that’s a multi-use corridor and part of the Trans Canada Trail. Travel through alpine meadows, forests, tunnels, lake vistas, vineyards, orchards, trestle and desert to the valley floor.

Float the Channel

Coming early or staying late? One of Penticton’s top bucket list items is to float down the river channel on a sunny summer afternoon. Coyote Cruises offers inner tube rentals and shuttle transport back to the starting point, so you can enjoy a leisurely ride down the 7 kilometer long channel that connects the beautiful Okanagan Lake to Skaha Lake. It’s a summertime event you don’t want to miss, so slap on some sunscreen and spend a few hours leisurely drifting the cool waters of the Penticton channel. On top of the picturesque views, you’re sure to make friends along the way!
