Situé à proximité du centre-ville, à seulement 5 minutes à pied de l'un des plus beaux quartiers d'El Bierzo, l'AC Hotel Ponferrada est entièrement rénové et se trouve juste sur la route des pèlerins de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle. L'hôtel dispose d'un minibar et de lampes de lecture dans toutes les chambres spacieuses, ainsi que d'un salon climatisé, dont les horaires sont temporairement limités, pour vous détendre. L'hôtel dispose également de trois espaces de réunion superbement conçus pouvant accueillir divers événements. Le musée El Bierzo se trouve à cinq minutes à pied de l'hôtel, la gare est à 1 km et l'aéroport à 95 km. Il dispose également d'un parking à vélos pour les pèlerins de Saint-Jacques qui séjournent chez nous à Ponferrada.
