Frankfurt’s Museum Riverbank

Museum
10 minutes away
A prominent attraction is Frankfurt’s Museum Riverbank, one of the most important locations for museums in Germany and all of Europe. Renowned exhibition centres such as the Städel Museum (Städel Museum), the German Architecture Museum (Deutsches Architekturmuseum), the German Film Museum (Deutsches Filmmuseum), or the Jewish Museum (Jüdisches Museum) can be found along the bank of the Main river. And every year many museums invite people to two special cultural events: the “night of museums” and the Museum Riverbank festival.

Frankfurt Stock Exchange

Business District
1 mi. away
The monumental structure of the Frankfurt Securities Exchange originates from the 19th century. The interior with its famous parquet floor was modernised in 2007. On the square in front of the exchange the bull and the bear symbolise rising (bull) and falling (bear) markets.

Römer

Historical Landmark
1 mi. away
For more than 6 centuries, Frankfurt’s destiny has been directed from the patrician houses on the Römerberg. Like most of her predecessors, the municipal leader lives above the Schwanenhalle, with a view of St. Paul’s Church. The Römer is where the city councillors meet. Many offices reside here, and the civil registry office guarantees a wonderful ambience for weddings. From the beginning the Römer had an importance that went beyond the city. 52 pictures of the emperor in a splendid imperial hall bear witness to the election and coronation of German rulers, and can also be viewed by the public. The National Assembly was to meet here in 1848, but it was moved to St. Paul’s Church because of space considerations.

Main Tower

Recreation
2 mi. away
After the completion of the MAIN TOWER in 1999 it even impressed Frankfurt residents, who are traditionally spoiled by skyline views: it was the first high-rise building in Europe to have a façade completely made of glass. This high-rise building enjoys particular popularity among Frankfurt residents and tourists: it is the only one in the city with a viewing platform and restaurant that is open to the public. The 53rd and 54th floors are also home to Europe’s highest radio and television studio.

St. Leonhard’s Church

Historical Landmark
10 minutes away
St. Leonhard’s Church (St. Leonhardskirche) is one of Frankfurt’s most valuable structures. The towers and parts of the western wall are Romanesque, and the 5-aisle hall church is Late Gothic. The high stained-glass window in the choir is among the most precious in Hesse.

Messe Frankfurt

Convention Center
10 minutes away
As one of the oldest trade fair cities in the world, Frankfurt offers a large number of internationally significant specialist trade fairs, such as the Book Fair or the Ambiente. On the exhibition grounds of Messe Frankfurt GmbH alone, there are around 51 trade fairs and exhibitions every year. The organisers have 578,000 square metres available, of which 355,678 square meters are in the multifunctional halls and another 96,078 square metres are outdoors.

Goethestrasse

Shopping
1 block away
Goethestraße is Frankfurt’s ‘Fifth Avenue’ because here, west of the Zeil, classy shops display the latest collections of international top designers. The designer fashion ranges from Armani to Versace. So that customers can adorn themselves with matching jewellery too, exclusive brands such as Cartier and Tiffany are also represented here. Furthermore, the shopping street, that is just under 400 metres long, offers, for example, shops in the areas of art dealing, household goods and opticians.
