About us

Saxon Lodge is situated in Gansbaai, the world's Great White Shark capital and arguably the best land and boat based whale watching region in the Western Cape. A short, beautiful, 2 hour drive from Cape Town and Cape Town International airport, 30 minutes from Hermanus and an hour from Cape L'Agulhas, the southern-most tip of Africa, makes Saxon Lodge a great central point for exploring the Cape Overberg and its natural bounty. Saxon Lodge has 9 suites, most with sea-views and view verandas. Decorated in a comfortable earthly style creates a peaceful and relaxing home from home space for you to rest and recharge. Saxon Lodge provides the creature comforts of home, aside from the obvious bed and breakfast of course. Free Wi-Fi, splash pool, communal lounge with full DSTV, bureau de change, same day laundry service and much more. Saxon Lodge is the ideal venue for small, intimate business meetings and functions such as business strategy and planning meetings, team building and incentive trips or special occasion celebrations. Our conference facility is well equipped and versatile. We are able to accommodate up to 15 delegates for meetings and up to 30 for functions.
