The architectural essence of the hotel is reflected in the building façade showcasing the “Filips van Artevelde” corner structure, an eclectic architectural marvel. NH Collection Gent pays tribute to its historical lineage by weaving a narrative of romance, inspired by the literary work “Jacob Van Artevelde” by Hendrik Conscience. The tragic love saga of Veerle Van Artevelde and Lieven Denys, set amidst the strife of the Hundred Years War, lends an air of theatricality to the hotel’s atmosphere.
