The Assinos Palace Hotel was founded in 1972 and was the first hotel structure in Giardini Naxos, a famous Greek colony and tourist centre. The hotel is called Assinos as it is close to the river Alcantara, from the Greek meaning "healthy river". The 57 hotel rooms are quiet and climatized, have mini-bar, telephone, bathroom, hairdryer, safe and internet service. The Hotel is surrounded by orchards, luxuriant exotic plants, and has a majestic view of Mount Etna. It is one of the most fascinating tourist structures, able to satisfy your demands, in a refined elegant manner. In addition, Assinos Palace Hotel provides fully equipped congress halls for a maximum of 200 seats.

We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels.
When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. This new way of discovering a city via a walking tour with various challenges is a great way to learn about its history and discover its layout.

Each Tourist Scavenger Hunt is around 40 steps, 2-3 hours in duration on a 3-4km circuit which brings you back to the start.
