Local Attractions

Seven Mile Beach

Seven Mile Beach is known for its beauty, recently receiving the honor of "The Caribbean's Best Beach" from Caribbean Travel and Life Magazine. It is public property (as are all beaches in the Cayman Islands) and one is able to walk the full length of the beach, regardless of where you are staying. The Seven Mile Beach is the most popular and most developed area of Grand Cayman.

Due to the Cayman Islands tropical climate and year round warm water temperatures, the ocean floor is richly covered with an abundance of corals and sponges that provide food and shelter to a huge diversity of marine life. The famous Cayman Wall runs around the entire island, with dive sites on all four sides. While there is plenty for novice divers to see on the sandy flats on top of the wall, those who descend deeper will be privy to some truly breathtaking scenery. Among the mélange of black coral, giant purple sea fans and barrel sponges, you are bound to spot parrot fish, barracuda, eagle rays, turtles and even the odd Hammerhead.

Stingray City

15 minutes away
Visit world famous Stingray City sandbar located in the North Sound. In only three feet of clear water, visitors can swim with and feed Cayman’s most famous residents: the wild Southern Stingrays. These calm, harmless creatures naturally congregate at the sandbar. There are many transportation options available- from catamarans, speedboats, pontoon boats and other smaller sailing vessels. Choose from a simple two-hour snorkel trip, or enjoy a full day outing. Stingray City is a wonderful way for your family to experience Cayman.

Kittiwake Snorkel

5 minutes away
Begin this sail aboard a privately chartered catamaran leaving from the beach at The Ritz-Carlton. The first stop is the sunken US Naval ship the USS Kittiwake. Observe this attraction from the surface, dive down and snorkel as close as 10 feet from the 250 foot long sunken vessel. The next stop will take you to one of Seven Mile Beach’s many spectacular coral reefs where you will encounter an amazing array of tropical fish and lush coral. After the water activities enjoy a gentle sail with a cocktail of your choice as you soak up the sun for a leisurely cruise back to the beach.

Crytal Caves

30 minutes away
Situated in a lush tropical forest in Northside, Grand Cayman, Cayman Crystal Caves is the island’s newest nature tourist attraction All visitors receive guided walking tours. Tours are approximately 1 ½ hours and take you through the surrounding tropical forest area and 3 caves spectacular caves.

The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Grand Cayman rouses golfers with its five long par fours into the Caribbean trade winds, which can make a 470-yard hole play like 600 - in length, challenging terrain, diversity of layout and natural beauty in keeping with our mission of environmental sensitivity is Greg Norman's signature of a championship quality design. This course is perfect for both infrequent players who want to play at their leisure and passionate golfers who want to play multiple rounds in a single day.

Camana Bay

5 minutes away
Grand Cayman shopping offers everything you’d expect from a duty-free destination; luxury designer boutiques to unique local art, crafts, and an abundance of food items. Organize a private shuttle to provide periodic transfers from the hotel to Camana Bay. Transfers will be coordinated by The Ritz-Carlton staff that will assist your guests and provide them with refreshing bottles of water and guidance on where to shop.

Mangrove Kayak

This is an exciting and adventurous eco-tour that takes you to the coastal mangrove wetlands of Grand Cayman. Embrace nature as you discover the mysteries of mangroves, the nursery and jungle gym that bridges land and sea. Depart from the hotel with our knowledgeable Ambassadors of the Environment by Jean-Michel Cousteau Naturalists who will guide you through an educational and engaging tour.
