Let yourself be surprised. Hacienda La ReKompensa is a 56.500 m2 farm
with more than 7.000 banana trees, 150 avocado trees and a wide variety of
fruit trees.
At the La ReKompensa Banana Museum we will teach you all about banana
cultivation on a guided tour of the banana farm. You will visit a Canarian
house dating back to 1804, which has been completely restored, faithful to its
original architecture. Inside you will find the interpretation centre of this
exciting crop and a shop where you can taste a selection of handmade
products made in our islands and containing bananas, such as different jams,
banana jam and even banana wine, as well as cosmetic lines also made from
this wonderful fruit.
Discover this unique place in the Canary Archipelago with splendid views of
the ocean and the sea of banana plantations in the north of the island.
It is the first Banana Museum in Gran Canaria and the only one in the Canary
Islands where you can see 25 different varieties of banana trees from all over
the world.
