VIA Rail operates trains in all regions of Canada from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and from the Great Lakes to Hudson Bay. To travel to and from Atlantic Canada, the Ocean (Montréal - Halifax) provides an overnight train experience. Leaves Montréal in the evening to arrive in Halifax mid-afternoon. In the other direction, the Ocean leaves Halifax in the afternoon to reach Montréal the next morning.
