Overlooking one of Hamburg’s many canals, Lotti’s a stone’s throw from the pretty Stadthausbrücke and a short stroll from Jungfernstieg – a laidback lakeside promenade that’s one of our favourite spots for people-watching and window shopping. Also within easy reach are Speicherstadt and HafenCity. The red-brick former warehouses of Hamburg’s historic port district are now home to restaurants, museums and the stunning Elbphilharmonie concert hall. To see it in its full glory, hop on a harbour tour from nearby Landungsbrücken. With two stations just minutes away, Lotti’s seven minutes by S-Bahn from Hamburg’s main station and half an hour directly from the airport. Night owls can be on the legendary Reeperbahn in under ten minutes and quirky Sternschanze with its independent shops and friendly cafés is less than twenty minutes away for a morning-after wander.
