About us
The Chequers is conveniently situated on the Herts / Essex border close to the M11 in the beautiful village of Matching Green in a traditional red brick building that overlooks the large village green. This is a perfect choice if you are looking for a cost effective, semi-rural, scenic location for your event or special occasion. The Chequers can accommodate 70 people seated comfortably in the dining room but can also erect varying size marquees in our lovely large garden area if required. The terrace area is another option and is perfect for alfresco dining in the summer.
