In juli 1989 werd, ter gelegenheid van het honderdjarig bestaan van de gemeentelijke status van Hiroshima, het International Conference Center Hiroshima（ICCH）geopend op de heilige grond van het Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. Het ICCH wordt gebruikt voor verschillende doeleinden, zoals tentoonstellingen en feesten. Het grote auditorium, dat plaats biedt aan 1.504 personen, is ideaal voor concerten, lezingen en nationale en internationale conferenties. Het ICCH omvat ook de International Conference Hall, evenals kleine, middelgrote en grote conferentieruimtes. In totaal heeft het ICCH vijf verdiepingen, drie bovengrondse en twee kelderverdiepingen. De locatie heeft zeven vergader- en conferentiecentra.
