About us

Welcome to Hotel Nelson, a stylish and modern boutique style resort in Nelson Bay. Formerly the Nelson Lodge, our hotel has been stylishly transformed following a complete interior and exterior redesign. We offer a host of luxuries you would expect on your well earned holiday, such as a leisurely breakfast in our smart new cafe serving perfect bacon & eggs. The Little Nel Cafe is now open, serving organic barista made espresso and awesome eggs. We have 36 suites for accommodation. Our brand new hi tech conference and event centre is now open, offering modern conference facilities with natural light, professional conference event management, and gourmet catering to keep energy levels high. The centre is fully equipped with all modern business amenities. We have a main plenary room accommodating up to 60 delegates, a boardroom for 12 that overlooks a private garden, along with break-out rooms and outdoor areas for breaks and dining. Our experience conference coordinator is on hand to assist with the planning and facilitation of your function. Hotel Nelson caters to weddings of all sizes – be it an intimate gathering or a larger celebration, we can tailor a package to suit your needs. Our outdoor deck area overlooking the beautiful Port Stephens bay is perfect for a cocktail event, or our conference facilities provide elegant space for a more formal gathering.
