Attached to the suite is a fully kitted out board for thirty for that all important meeting, with video conferencing, touch screen audio visual controls and the latest in communications. New Delhi, September 27, 2017 - Leonia International Centre for Exhibitions & Conventions (LICEC) located at Leonia Holistic Destination, Hyderabad has won the prestigious National Tourism Award 2015-2016 as the ‘Best Standalone Convention Centre’ in India. This is the fourth time that LICEC has won this honor with the previous awards being in the years 2011, 2012 and 2013. The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India presents the National Tourism Awards to various segments of the travel and tourism industry every year. This year the Awards function was held on Wednesday, 27th September 2017 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The award was presented by the Hon’ble President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind. On this happy moment, Mr. Prawesh Kumar Das (General Manager – Leonia) said, “We are elated to receive this prestigious recognition for the fourth time. This accomplishment is a testament to the continued excellence of our services. The combination of all the facilities at Leonia along with LICEC makes it an ideal get away for all MICE activities. Hyderabad is now the leading MICE destination and we will continue to strive to keep LICEC at the forefront of this segment.” About LICEC: LICEC is a world-class innovative multi-purpose convention centre, which can host meetings, conventions, exhibitions and events. LICEC's main convention hall is a pillar-free indoor hall suitable for any kind of indoor event. The main hall’s high ceiling enables dramatic use of space. State-of-the-art acoustics from Funktion One UK and Lighting from Martin, USA enables the entire hall suitable for Speech, music, live performances, seminars, lectures, presentations etc. The main hall area along with the galleries is approximately 5,838 sq. mtrs. The main hall’s flooring is of Olympics Standard (Gerflor from France), which transforms it into an indoor stadium that can accommodate Two squash courts, Five badminton courts, One basketball courts, One volleyball court and Four tennis courts.
