Sumahan ligt aan de uiterste rand van de Bosporus, die Europa van Azië scheidt en het koude water van de Zwarte Zee verbindt met het warme water van de Zee van Marmara en de Egeïsche Zee daarachter. De Bosporus voedt het hart en de geest van de stad. De eigenschappen van licht en water, die op elk moment van de dag en in elk seizoen anders zijn, zorgen voor de onmiddellijke aantrekkingskracht van een verblijf hier. Er is keuze uit suites en slaapkamers, elk met een eigen persoonlijkheid, de meeste met open haarden, maar allemaal met een prachtig uitzicht.
