De geografische ligging van IgA Istanbul Airport heeft geleid tot de status van internationale hub. Het bedient naar schatting 90 miljoen passagiers per jaar, met een hoofdterminal van 1,4 miljoen vierkante meter, drie onafhankelijke start- en landingsbanen, een luchtverkeerstoren en ondersteunende faciliteiten. iGA Istanbul Airport, dat in de periode van vijf jaar sinds de oprichting meer dan 250 miljoen passagiers heeft ondergebracht, is nu in staat om vanaf januari 2024 vluchten uit te voeren naar 315 bestemmingen over de hele wereld.
