La sala dei festival di Bled è situata sulla riva del lago e a pochi passi da tutti i principali hotel, il centro con 512 posti a sedere è in posizione ideale per tutti i tipi di eventi aziendali e di intrattenimento di alto livello. La città non aveva una sala adatta alle esigenze di un torneo di grandi maestri di scacchi. A tal fine, la Sala del Festival è stata costruita nel 1961 in una delle località più belle e prestigiose lungo il lago di Bled, che offre viste spettacolari sull'unica isola della Slovenia e sull'imponente castello di Bled. Bled può ospitare 2.500 persone nei suoi hotel e pensioni e offre una vasta scelta di camere e appartamenti in case private. La sala, compresa la galleria, era in grado di ospitare 750 persone.
