In the German Aeronautical Information Publication, its name is Frankfurt Main Airport.[8] The airport is operated by Fraport and serves as the main hub for Lufthansa, including Lufthansa CityLine and Lufthansa Cargo as well as Condor and AeroLogic. It covers an area of 2,300 hectares (5,683 acres) of land[9] and features two passenger terminals with capacity for approximately 65 million passengers per year; four runways; and extensive logistics and maintenance facilities.

The harmonious architectural blend of the new quarter calls to mind the moving history of Frankfurt. Since 1 July 2020, the Frankfurt Arena will be called Deutsche Bank Park – and thus reminds us of its origins in its name. About 100 years ago, the idea arose to build a sports park near Oberforsthaus on the site of a former military shooting range. Initially, the 42-hectare site was planned for the actual stadium with 37,000 spectator seats, a gym and festival ground, a cycling stadium and a swimming pool.

As a very important cultural landmark of Frankfurt, Alte Oper has a highly modern and well equipped special event venue. It hosts several musicals, shows, operas and symphonies among other spectacular presentations.

It now represents a classic example of the traditional half-timbered architectural style of times gone by. Every single house bears its own name. In the 17th century, the corner house, named "Grosser Engel", became the home of Frankfurt's first bank.
