Il centro dei tre ponti che formano il Triplo Ponte è rimasto al suo posto dal 1842, quando sostituì un vecchio ponte medievale in legno di importanza strategica che collegava le terre dell'Europa nord-occidentale con l'Europa sud-orientale e i Balcani. Tra il 1929 e il 1932, i ponti laterali, destinati ai pedoni, furono aggiunti al ponte originale in pietra su progetto dell'architetto Jože Plečnik, che creò così un gioiello architettonico unico di Lubiana.

Se non siete stati fotografati accanto a un drago del Ponte del Drago, difficilmente potete affermare di aver visitato Lubiana. Le quattro statue di draghi, che sembrano un po' terrificanti e quasi reali (se, ovviamente, credete che i draghi possano essere reali), sono un capolavoro che ha stimolato l'immaginazione sin dalla costruzione del ponte.

Il Parco Tivoli è il parco più grande e bello di Lubiana, che si estende fino al centro della città. È stato progettato nel 1813 dall'ingegnere francese Jean Blanchard e creato unendo i parchi che avevano circondato Podturn e Cekin Mansions. Il parco, che copre un'area di circa cinque chilometri quadrati, è attraversato da tre imponenti sentieri fiancheggiati da ippocastani e abbellito da aiuole ornamentali, alberi interessanti e numerose statue e fontane. L'area del parco si fonde con le pendici della collina di Rožnik, a cui è collegata da diversi sentieri escursionistici e da un percorso di allenamento con diverse stazioni di allenamento lungo la sua lunghezza.
