Fort Scratchley Historic Site is situated on a strategic part of the south-eastern headland at the entrance to Newcastle Harbour. Set high on a hilltop overlooking the ocean and the harbour, Fort Scratchley offers a unique 360 degree view of the city, Newcastle beaches and the harbour. The site is available for hire (outside normal operating hours). It is the ideal setting for a wedding ceremony, wedding photos or an exclusive function on the Parade Ground (outside normal operating hours). The Multipurpose Centre at Fort Scratchley is a newly built contemporary Function Centre with a seating capacity of 150 guests. Fort Scratchley Historic Site is available for hire for all types of functions and events, from private parties to corporate functions.
