The Stromness Hotel is situated just 4.5 miles from the Ring of Brodgar and Standing Stones historic sites and is the perfect base for your visit to Orkney. The narrow, winding streets through Stromness have a unique traditional and historic feel about them, and the contemporary styled Pier Arts Centre offers up a truly inspired harmony between the traditional and the modern. The Pier Arts Centre (featuring "a remarkable collection of 20th century British art") is within a short stroll of the hotel. Established in 1901, our historic 42 bed roomed hotel lies in the heart of the unique fishing port, overlooking the working harbour and Scapa Flow. The Hotel can also cater for weddings, parties and functions for up to 120 guests or any special event you may require.
