Forss House Hotel is a delightful 1810 country house hotel set in 20 acres of woodland, below a waterfall, on a loop of the gently meandering River Forss. Come to Forss House Hotel and explore the Northern Highlands for a treasure trove of things to see and do; wonderful cliff top and inland walks, castles, and brochs, mountain biking, numerous links golf courses, hunting and stalking, horse riding, adventures on the high seas and lochs, amazing bird life, wildlife and flora to find, renowned wind surfing or simply a good book by a log fire with a dram or two. We have 14 ensuite bedrooms at Forss House Hotel and over the last 6 years have spent a lot of time trying to create comfortable bedrooms, each with a distinctive feel - we all have our favorites and we hope you enjoy them. The restaurant at Forss House Hotel has a reputation as one of the finest in the North and is the only 2AA Rosette restaurant in Caithness. Whether you have business in Thurso, Dounreay or further afield in Caithness and Sutherland, Forss House Hotel always tries to offer anyone on business an enjoyable and helpful base to stay. We are happy to help with business conferences of all sorts, whether short meetings; full days without accommodation or taking over the whole hotel.
