The hotel Le Grand Monarque is made of a 18th-century post house and of a Directoire-style building, both surrounding a charming inner yard. The tuffeau stone - a very clear Loire Valley limestone typical of the Renaissance chateaux - and the exposed beams give to this boutique hotel a special charm. Nested in the centre of the lovely little town of Azay-le-Rideau, and just 150m away from its famous and charming chateau, the hotel is ideally situated to visit the Loire Valley and its greatest castles. Our Comfort rooms are individually decorated with charm and character. Our Tradition rooms are all individually arranged and decorated. Each Exclusive room is unique, and is decorated with charm and antique furniture. For your seminars and meetings, Le Grand Monarque has an 8 people capacity and a 20 people capacity meeting room.
